About Our Federation
The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) was founded in the year 2000 with the vision of uniting various transport organizations across the state under one common platform. It was established to bring together bodies such as the Bus Union, Taxi Union, Trekker Union, Tempo Union, Truck Union, Auto rickshaw Union, and others to collectively address the concerns and welfare of the public transport community. Shri John Panye served as the Founder President, providing strong and visionary leadership. Late Kabak Sala, as the General Secretary, played a pivotal role in laying the foundation of the Federation and worked tirelessly toward its development and unity.

The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) has consistently demonstrated its deep commitment to humanitarian service by extending financial aid and essential relief materials to victims of fire incidents and natural disasters across the state.

Steadfast Efforts By AAPPTF Towards Establishing Arunachal Pradesh Motor Transport Worker’s Welfare Fund Board for the Transport workers
The All Arunachal Pradesh Motor Transport Workers’ Welfare Fund Board, a longstanding demand championed by the (AAPPTF), is finally nearing realization.
During the years 2020–2021, the (AAPPTF) played a pivotal role in resolving a tense and potentially escalating confl ict between the transport communities of Arunachal Pradesh and the neighboring state of Assam
Under the leadership of Shri Dobing Sonam, facilitated the enrollment of nearly 53,000 individuals into key government welfare schemes-CMAAY (Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana), PMJJBY (Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana), and PMSBY (Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana).
In the year 2010, the (AAPPTF) took a progressive step toward youth empowerment by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank Limited

Silver Jubilee of All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation AAPPTF Trade Union at Tana Hari Fish Farm-Cum-Resort Doimuk.
The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) Trade Union celebrated its XXV Foundation Day cum Silver Jubilee today at Tana Hari Fish Farm, Doimukh.
The programme was graced by Shri Ojing Tasing, Minister for Transport, Panchayati Raj, RD Corporation and Secretariat Transport, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. Shri Oni Panyang, MLA of 40-Mariyang Geku Assembly Constituency, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The event also witnessed the presence of Ms. Vishaka Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare District; Shri Tumme Amo, IPS, IGP, Itanagar Capital Range; along with Shri Dobing Sonam, State President of AAPPTF.
Members, officials, and well-wishers participated in the celebration, marking 25 years of the federation’s service and contributions to the public transport sector in Arunachal Pradesh.
The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation held its Silver Jubilee-cum-Foundation Day on 3 December 2025 at Tana Hari Fish Farm. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Transport Minister Ojing Tasing, Guest of Honour MLA,4O Mariyang Geku,Oni Panyang, along with senior officials including DC Papum Pare Vishakha Yadav (IAS) and DIGP Tumme Amo (IPS).
The event drew a large gathering of transport operators, community leaders, and well-wishers from across the state, all united to reflect on the Federation’s journey since its inception.
